This exquisite craftsmanship tool was developed by Leather Artisan Lab and handmade by knife maker Borja Canedo in Spain.
The upper part of the knife is left intentionally forged and tempered, serving as a beautiful reminder that this is a unique, handmade tool. Its distinct look reflects the artistry behind its creation.
The blade is custom made with a 60º cutting angle (traditional for paring and skiving knives), which provides superior performance for skiving tasks. This angle allows for more precise cuts over a wider surface area, while still enabling the tip of the knife to rest on the cutting surface for control.
Available for both right- and left-handed users.
Each knife is hand-sharpened by Borja and further refined by Isaac from Leather Artisan Lab to achieve a mirror finish, ensuring an excellent cut right out of the box.
To maintain sharpness, we recommend keeping a strop with polishing paste nearby and giving the knife a quick touch-up while working. If the knife begins to lose its edge or requires more precision, it's advisable to use Matador Wet & Dry Sandpaper or a sharpening stone with a minimum of 2000 grit (Artisan Leather Lab uses 5000-6000 grit).
When sharpening, always run the knife at the correct angle, ensuring the edge moves in the proper direction (never against the edge). After about 10-12 sharpenings, run the knife 3-4 times along the back side of the blade to remove any burrs, again, never against the edge.
